Two people, two cultures, two wedding dresses, one wedding ceremony combining two and endless amount of love and laughter.
That pretty much sums up the beautiful wedding of Anne and Amin at the stunning Castillo de Santa Catalina in Malaga, Spain.
Anne and Amin decided to honour two cultures and have both a civil ceremony as well as a traditional Persian wedding. Their family and friends helped create the table full of meaningful objects such as:
the mirror, that represents bringing light and brightness into the bride and groom’s future, candles, herbs and spices, flatbread, a variety of nuts, fruits, rock candies, coins, honey, the Holy Book as well as traditional Persian embroidered cloths and other items. And I guess if you have two wedding ceremonies you can also have two wedding dresses! And that is exactly what Anne went for. Definitely not a dull moment on a day like this. The best part though? There were many wedding guests who traveled from all corners of the world who had never met before and by the time I left the venue, they were all having the time of their lives on the dancefloor. But then, I have never seen a quiet Dutch wedding 😀
This venue oozes luxury
With a setting like this, Santa Catalina does not need a lot to look incredible. However, when you have Pedro Navarro and his team style your wedding, you can only expect lush decor. From original guests seating plan to endless flower decorations and beautiful tableware, everything was carefully chosen to enhance the elegant setting. the best part, however, is to see this wedding venue transform and come to life in the evening, when all the candles and fair light create an intimate and luxury ambiance. I also loved Anne’s idea of naming the tables after their favourite films.
Take a look at the beauty, from the decor to the beautiful souls.
