Getting married
This was exactly the case for June & Trond’s wedding. It was my last wedding of the season and we’d had some serious rain in 2018! I was ready and I was prepared. Packed all my rain covers, a couple of transparent umbrellas, tons of garbage bags for the equipment, pretty much all my lights and stands and a change of clothes. Because, you know, as a wedding photographer on Costa del Sol, I like to be ready.
Comes the day, I check the weather again – nothing new, lots of rain. Got to the Norwegian Seamen’s Church in Calahonda, greeted the groom and guests- so far no rain. Rushed through the family formals, because, you know, the sky was dark, but still no rain. At which point I relaxed entirely as I knew I could have trusted my good karma.
We still tried to get a couple of portraits whenever we saw a glimpse of the sun – and as we all know, church parking lots are perfect for a quick wedding portrait session – but we were in the safe now.
I could finally stop watching the sky and focus on telling the story of June and Trond’s wedding day.
